Carol Sue Cox

Carol Sue Watkins Cox, 57, of Horsepasture-Price Road, Ridgeway, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. She was born in Rockingham County, NC on January 26, 1956 to Mereline Amos Watkins of Stoneville, NC and the late Rufus Lee Watkins. Sue was a graduate of Stoneville High School and was once employed by the Henry County School System as a substitute teacher. She was also a member of God’s Mission Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter, Amelia Sue Cox.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Henry W. Cox of the residence; two daughters, Elizabeth C. Rigney of Rocky Mount and Christin C. Minter of Martinsville; one son, Henry W. Cox, Jr. of Ridgeway; two sisters, Dale Morris of Stoneville, NC and Terri Hodge of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Billy Watkins of Stoneville, NC.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM, February 19, 2013 at Community Funeral Home in Ridgeway with the Rev. Delmar Scotton, the Rev. Doug Amos and the Rev. Jack Foley officiating. Interment will follow in the Christian View Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway and other times at the home of Jay Mitchell, 632 Fall Creek Road in Ridgeway.
