Sandra Darlene Brooks

Darlene Hall Brooks, 53, of 4554 Irish burg, Road, Axton, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Martinsville on February 25, 1958 to the late Wiley R. Hall, Jr., and Lucille Mosley Hall. She was employed for more than fifteen years with Pluma and after their closing worked more than ten year with Sheetz, as a clerk. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Collinsville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy James Brooks.

Surviving are one daughter, Jackie Brooks Thurman of Spencer, two sons, Jeffrey and Jimmy Brooks both of Axton, three sisters, Ruth Griffin of Martinsville, Judy Fox of Axton and Pat Hall of Perry, NC., three brothers, Rusty Hall of Martinsville, John Hall of Bassett and Joe Hall of Axton and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church with Reverend Don Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Brooks Family Cemetery in Axton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church beginning at 12 Noon and other times at the home.
