

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Augustina Munoz Mugica, who entered eternal rest on February 22, 2026, at the age of 85.
Augustina was born on May 28, 1940. She was born, raised, and spent her entire life in Stanton, California. She was the cherished daughter of Antanacia Torres Munoz and Evaristo Munoz. She grew up alongside her three brothers and three sisters, sharing a childhood rooted in love, faith, and family—values she carried with her throughout her life. She grew up surrounded by family and carried deep family values with her throughout her life. A devoted wife to her beloved husband, Ysmael Mendoza Mugica, she built a home filled with warmth, love, strength, and unwavering support. She was a proud and caring mother. Her children were her greatest joy, and her love only grew as her family expanded.
Augustina is survived by her six children, Lucero, Marcia, Diana, Iris, Ysmael, and Evaristo, her 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured with tenderness, wisdom, and unconditional love, and the many beloved relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ysmael and her son Robert.
Visitation will be held at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504, US, on March 26, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504, US, on March 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
A Committal Service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518, US, on March 27, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
We would like for you to join us at the repass to celebrate the life of Augustina. It will be held at the Cottonwood Golf Center, 13671 Frederick St., Moreno Valley, CA 92553, from 1:30m PM - 4:30 PM.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, resilience, and the quiet kindness she shared so freely. Augustina will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
