

Brad William Leal passed away on Friday November 11, 2016 at the Loma Linda Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA. Brad was born to John and Liz Leal on January 21, 1954. Brad is deeply cherished and lovingly remembered by his life-long partner of thirty-one years; Lizette Bekendam of Corona, her three children; Wendy (Mouw) Fisher, Becky (Mouw) Schwartz, and John Mouw, seven grandchildren; Breonna, Dylan, Samantha, Alexis, Mikaela, Paige, and Carley (aka: Poppa Brad's "little cheeseburger"). Brad is survived by one brother, two sisters, several loving cousins, and a multitude of friends.
Brad was a Dairyman in Corona for over 40 years. He mostly enjoyed working his land on his John Deere and tinkering on the farm equipment. He enjoyed bowling, cooking, and attending the Portuguese Festa and auctions gathering loaves of masa bread and cheese for his grandchildren. Brad cherished his childhood memories of friends and family, especially the great times of love and laughter with his Jordan and Tomjack cousins.
For over 25 years, Brad was actively involved as a Chairman on multiple boards in the Dairy Industry to include the So. Dairyman’s Association, So. Calif. Producers Council, and Land O Lakes. He was on the Board of Directors for the So. Calif. Environmental Foundation, Chairman for the Leadership Council, Nominating Committee, Leader Development Committee, Credentials Committee, and the “Policy and Resolutions” Committee. On a state level Brad was appointed to the State of California Dept. Of Food and Agriculture Producers Review Board. He also acted as a lobbyist in the House of Congress on Capitol Hill, Washington DC. advocating special interests for the Agricultural Industry.
Brad was a man of Great character whose judgment, humor, and friendly spirit brought out the finest in those around him. He was known as a man of strong principle and moral value with a keen sense for business and foresight. His hand shake was well known as an honest symbol of trust and guarantee of his word. He is vastly remembered as a person who had the most kind and gentle of spirits. He had this amazing and unique quality of attracting new friends throughout simple daily encounters and the influence of his life upon others is a flame that will forever shine. He was a very generous and thoughtful man with a heart of gold. The type of man that would give his shirt off his back for anyone in need. The depths to his caring and selflessness for the sake of others was insurmountable. Brad Leal was a GREAT man. He was loved by so many and will forever be greatly missed.
