

Cesar Cano Peregrino Jr., better known as CJay, was born on August 17, 1993 in Oxnard, CA. On November 11, 2021 he was called home by the Lord to be beside him and his loved ones in heaven. He was one of three kids, and the only son of Corazon Cano and Cesar Peregrino. Cjay attended Channel Islands High School. Upon graduation, he joined the US Navy on August 30, 2011 as a Seabee.
He married his high school sweetheart, Alana Peregrino on December 18, 2012. Their first daughter, Ayluh Shae Peregrino, was born on July 26, 2015 in San Diego, CA. Their second daughter, Kehlani Lynne Peregrino, was born on August 11, 2021 in Vancouver, WA.
He was recently promoted to E6 Petty Officer First Class Culinary Specialist. During his time in service, he has been stationed at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, CA, Naval Base Ventura County, CA, Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan and Naval Station Everett, WA. His exemplified service to his Country is highlighted by his awards and recognitions. These include the National Defense Service Medal, 2 Good Conduct Medals, 2 (NAM) Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and 1 (COM) Letter of Commendation Flag.
His interests include working on import cars, playing the ukulele, singing to his girls, gun collecting, making people laugh and smile and eating good food. He will always be remembered for being a devoted husband and an amazing, loving father to his 2 daughters.
Cjay Peregrino Jr. will truly be missed. We will always carry your memories in our hearts forever. We love you Daddy.
