

Carmen Moreno Solorio, age 89, passed away early Saturday morning at her home on December 31, 2022 in Riverside, California. Carmen, the first of twin sisters, was born to the parents of Guadalupe and Maria Rivera on a Sunday morning on June 18, 1933 in Fresno, California. She was raised in the town of Del Rey alongside five brothers and five sisters.
Carmen graduated from Selma High School in Selma, California in 1950. In 1952, while attending a baseball game at a Del Rey park, she met Robert Solorio. They would eventually marry and move to Riverside, California. Here they would raise a family of a son and three daughters.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jess and Eulalio; two sisters, Lydia and Sara; and her husband. She is survived by her brothers Daniel, Joe, David and Louie; sisters Lupe (twin) and Celia; son Ruben; daughters Cynthia, Aileen and Elizabeth; and grandson Jeremy.
Memorial services will be held at Acheson & Graham, Garden Of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, California 92504 on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Reception will follow also at Acheson & Graham, Garden Of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, California 92504 on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Breast Cancer, Diabetes and Kidney Foundations.
