Born on May 27, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, Dale lived a life defined by devotion — to his family, his work, and the people and things he loved most. He made his home in Riverside, California, where he shared nearly 28 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Janet.
Dale built a respected career as a Certified Public Accountant and retired from the Los Angeles County Office of the Auditor-Controller. He took pride in his work and was known for his integrity, steady nature, and quiet strength.
Outside of work, Dale embraced life fully. He loved traveling to new places, cheering on his favorite sports teams, fishing, and attending live concerts. Some of his happiest moments were spent simply being with family and friends. He shared a special and tender bond with his French Bulldog, Zoey — his “little Zoey” — who brought him constant companionship and joy.
Above all, Dale was a family man. He is survived by his loving family, consisting of his wife, Janet; his sons, Sean (Meaghan) and Kyle; his stepson, Jeff (Tammie); his stepdaughter, Sarah (Cesar); two granddaughters; one step-granddaughter; and one step-grandson. He is also survived by his stepfather, Gus; his sister, Sally (Jerry); his brother, Jim; his step sister, Kris; and many nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, John, and his mother, Doris.
Dale will be remembered for his steady presence, his keen wit and sense of humor, his love of family, and the quiet kindness that shaped the lives of those who knew him. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his love remains woven into the hearts of those he leaves behind.
