EDWARD A. RIVAS With great strength and courage, Edward A. Rivas passed away at his home in Riverside on 10/21/2010. Ed was surrounded by the family he loved, and who dearly loved him. Born in Torrance on 2/26/1949, he proudly served as Sgt. in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a paratrooper with 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. Edward was a retired firefighter with LA City for 34 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Edward is survived by his wife, Bobbie; son, Ed Jr. (and Maria); son, Gabriel (and Coa); daughter, Amber; and five grandchildren, Alexiss, Amiah, Aaliya, Eddie III, and Luke Roc Rivas; brother, Art; niece, April; nephew, Anthony. Rosary 11/1/10 at 6:00pm at Acheson & Graham Mortuary, Riverside. Holy Mass on 11/02/10 at 10:00am at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church. Interment at Riverside National Cemetery.
