Growing up, I had three choices the Raiders, the Steelers or the Cowboys. I chose to be a Cowboys fan because of Uncle Elijio. And to this day, I wear that Star proud. Watching the Dallas Cowboys play on Thanksgiving the times we got together as a family were some of my favorite memories. One of my dreams as a kid was to play for the Dallas Cowboys. It’s OK that my daughter is a chiefs fan. If she was raised around her uncles, the outcome would be different.  I still have all my football cards and baseball cards that I got working with Uncle at his swap meets. I learn how to read the Becketts and see how much my cards were worth. I never got to pet his German shepherds was always afraid of those dogs. I don’t know how grandma always got to sit in the backyard with them. Sasha I think was one of their names. When he gave my dad the pigeon coop and we moved it to Corona as kids those birds were some of my favorite pets. One time I was in California and we had went to the Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga. He was getting parts for ice chest that he had bought at a garage sale. Well, he had picked up a fishing pole because we were gonna go fishing and then Aunt Eva got mad or gave him that look. Why did you buy that look. Little did she know that we had talked about when he retired that we was gonna get a boat. That way we can come and fish with him along with my dad and Brothers. We had talked about what we were gonna park it about getting a slip for it, but the main thing was getting it clear to the boss lady. Tell my dad I said well you’re the boss ladies brother maybe you can put a good word in for the plan. After we got home from Bass Pro, I was like Uncle. It’s gonna be really hard to convince Auntie. Aunt Eva, I am so sorry. I’m so sorry for you and your family I send my deepest condolences. I love you guys. Uncle will be forever missed.

Brother I will always remember our wonderful times we spent together.  Peace be with you Elijio.

So many of us had the honor to work with and know you. We were so blessed to have you be part of the Kemp family. We will never forget you Eli ♥
