Helen J Brents

Helen Jeanette Brents, age 85, passed away on February 25, 2020. She was born on February 7, 1935 in Houston, Mississippi to James and Clytee McIntosh. She eloped and married her best friend and love, Marvin Brents, February 20, 1950, who preceded her in death in 1998.

Helen loved her animals. She could not pass up an animal that she saw. Often times picking up strays to give them a good home. Helen’s hands were rarely still. She loved her crafty ventures, always looking for her next project and who she could make it for. Embroidery was her first passion, but ceramics, small wood working projects were a consistent focus.

For many years Helen worked at Orange County Transit, driving transit buses. This proceeded her numerous years driving school buses for several Orange County cities. To her last days - when she saw a big truck or big bus she always surmised that she could drive that vehicle.

Helen is survived by her six children; Donna Michaelis, James Brents, Ken Brents, Frances Kanitz, Glenda Brents, Gary Brents, daughters and son in-laws, numerous grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
