

Herbert “Bud” Miller was born 4th of 6 children, on Dec. 20, 1935 in Underwood, WA to Bessie Jane and Herbert Allyn Miller. Grew up in Carson and Stevenson, WA area, graduated Stevenson High School, class of 1953, spent 4 years active duty in the Air Force during the Korean War, then returned home and married Evelyn Essy in 1958. They and their first daughter moved to Southern California in 1959, where they had another daughter. They later divorced. He met and married Valeria Cutler in 1969, and they had another daughter and a son. He spent the next 30+ years with his wife raising his family and living in various places in Southern California, working in the industrial coatings industry, while attending night school, earning his AA degree from Citrus College in 1972, and then his BA and MBA degrees from Cal State San Bernardino in 1975 and 1977, respectively. He and his family also spent some time for work in Illinois, and The Netherlands, and he and his wife spent 6 months in China, before he finally permanently retired. They then spent a few years in Clarence, MO, joining the Clarence First Christian Church, and he served as Mayor of the town for one year. In 2004, they decided to return to California, settling in Hemet. He spent the rest of his retirement years enjoying time with his grandkids and taking trips to visit family in Nevada and the Pacific Northwest. He had a deep and abiding love for God, and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary .
