Nana was the strongest, most caring, resilient, compassionate individual and always put her family first. She was definitely the center of our family and would protect everyone at all cost. She taught us what unconditional love is by loving her family and friends with everything she had. She loved hearing from them, she loved caring for them, and she always made time for them whether she was busy or not. Nana always went the extra mile.
She loved life and taught us all how to host and throw a party! From loving to play her favorite Mexican songs when cooking and cleaning, to her favorite color being red. Her love of Snickers candy bars, to her love for cooking chicken & mole and her famous potato salad. Nana knew how to celebrate life! Family menudo days, holidays, and birthdays were her pride and joy because she was spending those moments with her loved ones.
In stressful times, she would reach out to her family and always say, “Do your best and God will do the rest.” She also never let her grandkids go without saying how proud she was of us and teaching us the following life lessons: “Always wear your jacket so you don’t get sick,” “Make sure you have enough gas in your car,” “Never park next to a van,” “Wear your seatbelt,” “Don’t drive too fast,” and “Lock your doors.” She made sure we never went without food, school supplies, clothes, and the latest toy that was out. She did everything she could to provide for her family, even if that meant her staying without!
She was the center of our family; she was our rock, our counselor, our support, advice giver, and now our guardian angel. We will forever love and miss you Nana, and we hope to always make you proud as you watch over us, until we meet again one day!
