

Kay was born in Eminence, Missouri on a farm to Allen and Mary Honeycutt. She was the 9th child of 10. After graduating from Birch Tree High School she went to work at the Saint Louis Ordinance Depot. While there she met her future husband, SGT. Vince Imburg. They were married in Madison, Wisconsin February 19, 1945. While married to Vince they traveled and Kay was always able to obtain work. She worked at the Corps of Engineers in Anchorage, Alaska, the Air Force Communications System at Andrews AFB, Maryland, Civil Engineers at Ramey AFB Puerto Rico, and Riverside March AFB Hospital unit supply. In 1960 she traveled to Europe with Vince to the Island of Crete, and France where they lived for 3 years with their 2 children Marcia and Gary. They returned to Riverside where they lived for a couple of years, then off to Fairbanks, Alaska where she worked for the Bureau of Land Management. When they returned to Riverside she worked for 10 years as a maps drafts person for the County of Riverside Planning Department. When she finally retired she loved to swim, hike, and travel. She loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by Vince her husband of 64 years. She is survived by her son Gary Imburg, daughter and son-in-law Marcia and Tom Weaver, grandsons Marcus Imburg and Dustin Weaver, granddaughter Heather Walther, Son-in-law Johnathan Walther and her great-grandson Jonah Walther. The family would like to thank PARTNERS N CARE for taking such wonderful care of her for almost 3 years.
