Kenny was born on April 28, 1970 in Lakewood, CA to Robert and Dixie (Diem) Teixeira. He was raised in central California, where he worked the family-owned Dairy Farms in Visalia and McFarland. He attended Mt. Whitney High in Visalia and then went to McFarland High School in McFarland, CA. He transferred to Lake Elsinore High School his senior year and graduated in 1988. After High School, he attended ITT Technical Institute where he graduated in 1990 with an Associate’s Degree in Information Systems Administration.
He went on to work as a Mechanical Engineer and later became a self-taught Electrical Engineer.
Kenny met his wife, Renee (Shaver), in 1992 and they married in 1995. They had two daughters, Amber and Amanda. They settled in the suburbs of the High Desert, CA in 1997, where they remained for the last 24 years.
Kenny ventured into his own company, EXF Engineering, Inc. in 2004 where he did factory automation, programming, installations, upgrades and repairs of industrial equipment. He was very well known and respected in the industry and was the “go-to” guy for everyone. He was passionate about his career; his laptop was his lifeline and went wherever he did. As soon as he came home, he’d place the laptop on the kitchen table and would continue to work until he went to bed. That was also the first place he would go upon waking. His career took him on many travels throughout the U.S, as well as several Countries.
In addition to being passionate about his career, Kenny was also passionate about his family and friends. He and his wife were always planning for their next vacation, family gathering, or outings with friends. His favorite travel destinations included Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and the Bahamas.
In what little spare time he had, he enjoyed playing paintball, going to the shooting range, playing Texas-Hold-Em and, as of late, passioned the world of Crypto-currency.
Most knew Kenny as a serious person with a brilliant mind. He had a straight-forward, tell-it-like-it-is, sarcastic disposition. Though he always had an unenthusiastic look upon his face, which some did not know how to take, those who knew him best witnessed the fun, quirky, bad dad joke telling, loving person that he was.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 26 years, Renee (Shaver); their daughters, Amber Teixeira of Hastings, MN; and Amanda Teixeira (Travis Lane) of Maple Grove, MN; their two young grandchildren, Parker Lane and Emersyn Lane of Maple Grove, MN.
He is also survived by his father, Robert B. Teixeira, of Erie, PA; His Brothers: Victor (Anne) Silva, Bobby (Monica) Teixeira, Mike (Ronda) Teixeira and Jerry (Christine) Teixeira; His Aunt LauraLee Dominicak. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenny is predeceased by his mother Dixie (Diem) Teixeira and several others.
