

Millhorn, Larry K., 64, a former 30 year resident of Orange, who moved to Apple Valley a year ago has died unexpectedly on June 2, 2019. He was a life long resident of OC who graduated from El Modena High School. He was a avid Jeep enthusiast and enjoyed trips in the deserts and mountains with 4wheel drive groups. Call handle "Red Eye" all his friends were people he has met over the last 24 years while Jeeping. Loved camping in his RV with his wife and family. He rode dirt bikes from a young age as he pursued all off roading in different venues. He loved to fish both the ocean and fresh water in his boats; and water skiing at the river and lakes in CA. A skilled artist, he had been painting since a young age doing oil paintings and sketches. He was a Master Technician in transport refrigeration. He had jobs both in the construction, pipe fitting and welding industries. He was employed with MJB Transport Refrigeration of Orange for 30 years before buying the company in 2012. He later closed the company in 2017 and retired. He is survived by his loving wife Kay of 30 years; his daughter, Paula Nelson of OR; grandson, Vincent of OR; granddaughters, Kelsea Merritt of TX and Madison Peterson of Ramona, CA. He is also survived by a step daughter, Tracy Allen and grandsons, Dylan and Connor' a step son, Craig Allen, wife Chrissy and granddaughter Jenna Nicole, and Craig the 3rd of Eastvale, CA. He has numerous relatives still residing in OH whom he communicated with often. Larry was a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and would offer help to anyone in need especially his friends. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Helen Millhorn of OH; sisters, Sandra Briegel and Beverly Millhorn. Funeral Services are on July 1st at 11am at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside.
