Laura Sierra Toro, a beloved and cherished individual, passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on August 15, 1968, in Guanajuato, Mexico, Laura was a brave, kind-hearted, and devoted person who touched the lives of many.
Raised in Wilmington, Laura was known for her selfless nature and thoughtful demeanor. She dedicated much of her life to being a caregiver for her sister Esther, demonstrating her commitment to family and loved ones.
Laura was married to Barney Toro. Laura has three children; Stacey, Eduardo (Monica), and Andrew. Her family was the center of her world, and she was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren.
In her personal life, Laura had a passion for playing soccer and was renowned for her great baking skills, particularly her coffee cake. She loved gardening and dancing, often being the life of the party with her humorous and lively spirit.
The family appreciates all the love and support they have received during this difficult time. Laura's final resting place will be at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park, located at 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside.
Pallbearers for the service include Barney, Stacey, Eduardo, Andrew, Emma, and Hugo. Honorary pallbearers are Rosco, C, Mia, Zeus, Ariel, Allie, Michael, MaryJane, Emiliano, Eduardo Jr., and Marisol.
In her own words, Laura would often say, "Woopty Woop," capturing her joyful and spirited nature. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
