With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Lily Anguiano Lopez, who left this world peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 90. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Lily's gentle spirit, enduring love, and generosity warmed the hearts of everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
Lily was born to Julian Anguiano and Juanita Anguiano in Garden Grove, California on August 10. Lily had a lifelong career in education as a librarian for the Riverside Unified School District until she retired in 1999. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether it was through her gracious hospitality, her warm kitchen, or her quiet acts of kindness.
Lily’s greatest joy was her family. She shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Daniel Lopez. She was a loving sister to Julia Guevera and Eugene Anguiano. Lily was the heart of her family, the keeper of traditions, and the source of countless cherished memories. Lily is survived by her three loving sons: Daniel, John, and Randy, each of whom carry forward her legacy of kindness, integrity, and devotion to family. She also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many dear friends.
As she faced health challenges, Lily was cared for with immense kindness and respect by Sirena Hernandez. Sirena’s support and care brought great comfort not only to Lily but to her entire family. The Lopez family extends their heartfelt thanks to Sirena, Riverside Community Hospital and Bristol Hospice, whose help and support was deeply appreciated during such a tender time.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Lily’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire acts of love, service, and compassion for years to come.
Services will be held on September 22, 2025 at 11am at Acheson and Graham 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside California.
