Maria Carmen Acevedo De La Torre, age 84, passed away on August 9, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico, but has been a resident of Riverside, CA for the past 11 years. She was a homemaker who at a young age began caring for her younger brothers and sisters, and continued to do so for her own family as she became a mother as well. Maria Carmen could help around the home and the farm any time she was needed, and could milk a cow and make dairy products for her family. She was a hard working woman who always put her family's needs first. Maria Carmen is survived by her son; Emerio (Yolanda) Acevedo, her granddaughter; Azucena Acevedo, her grandson; Augustin Acevedo, her loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
