

Milton Francis Lewis was born on March 1st, 1944, he was the first of six children born to Milton Lewis and Ethlyn Smith in Belize, Belize. He loved creating with his hands, which led to him study the art of book binding in England and Trinidad on a full scholarship. He graduated in 1965 as a master book binder. On April 30th, 1966, at the age of 22 he married his loving and supportive wife Joan Sylvia. Soberanis who is also a native of Belize. With his ambition, wife and unique book binding skills Milton immigrated to America in 1966 committed to creating a better life for his family. In 1981 he and a partner opened a profitable book binding business called Alex Binary. In May 1982 he did a presentation for Paramount Studious. The studio proclaimed his work to be beautifully done and finished with a handsome and classic look. His work was featured in Neiman Marcus stores. Due to his high level craftmanship in 1985 he was selected to design the box for the key to the city during the presentation for Mayor Brown. In May 1991 he was invited to meet the Prime Minister of Belize. In the 90s he was featured in Jet magazine and created leather work for BET. He eventually went to work for himself and continue to do so until 2023. He was lovingly given the name grandman instead of being called grandfather by his grandchildren. A dedicated father, husband, grandfather, and successful entrepreneur he leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years Joan Lewis. His children Stanley Lewis, Pam Hunter, Pauline Scruggs, Cynthia Williams, and Milton Lewis. His grandchildren Alexandra Lewis, Brenton Lewis, Genae Lewis, Tyisha Anderson, Myeshia Williams, Desmond Hunter, Joan Williams, Shannon Lewis, Joisha Anderson, Lauren Lewis, Kurtis Hunter Milton Lewis, Matthew Lewis. Great grandchildren, Jerome Dillon, Jenneia Dillon, Amir Taylor, Johanna Morales, Franaiso Diego Jr., Vivianna Morales, Addison Barreto and Zoe Boyd. A host of brothers, sisters, and family and friends.
