Mitzi Cheryl Bozarth, 67, passed away in Corona, CA, on June 9, 2016, with her husband by her side, after a 6 year battle with Multiple Myeloma & Cardiac Amyloidosis. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on November 9, 1948 to the late Albert M. & Mary G. Stern. After moving to Anaheim, California, in 1963, she met her soulmate, Gerald (son of the late Willie O. & Anita L. Bozarth), at Magnolia High School. The high school sweethearts were married in 1965 and had two daughters, Kelli & Marcie. In 1975, they moved to Corona, California, and have continued to live there for the past 41 years. She worked as a school secretary in the Corona-Norco Unified School District for over 25 years. After she retired, she dedicated her remaining time on this earth to loving and supporting her family & friends.
She was the beloved wife of Gerald Bozarth; devoted mother of Kelli Seibert & Marcie (Kenneth) Kozar; loving nana to Michael Seibert, Madison Seibert, Jessica Kozar, Ryan Kozar & Julie Kozar; sister of the late James (Sondra) Stern & Megan (William) Such; sister-in-law to Jeanette (Ray) Vermeulen, the late Genelda (Peter) Lindsay, William (the late Alyce) Bozarth, James (Georgia) Bozarth, Beverly (the late Michael) Hicks, the late Donna Bozarth, Linda (Conny) Ericcson & Gary (Sandy) Bozarth; and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will always be remembered as an overwhelmingly generous and gracious, remarkably strong, extremely devoted, kind-hearted and self-less woman. Even during the most difficult moments of her struggle with cancer, she wanted to help others before allowing them to help her. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 15, from 4-8pm and chapel service on Thursday, June 16, at 11am. Both will take place at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the International Myeloma Foundation (myeloma.org) which provided significant information and support throughout her battle with this disease.
