

Mollie Ann Johnson, aged 87, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia. Born in Pueblo, CO, Mollie was raised in Riverside, CA, where she lived for over 75 years and left an indelible mark on the community she called home.
Mollie graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School in 1955, where she was a cherished member of the choir, sharing her love of music with her fellow students. After high school, she began working at Cal Electric, before moving on to the University of California, Riverside (UCR), where she dedicated many years of service before retiring.
In retirement, Mollie’s passion for helping others continued as she volunteered as a tour guide with AARP, assisting members in exploring new places and creating memorable experiences. Her love of adventure and community spirit also led her to become an active participant at the Janet Goeske Senior Center.
She is survived by her nephew, Zachary; her sister, Kim; and many other close friends. Mollie was preceded in death by her husband, John; her mother, Catherine; stepfather, Joe; and father, Charles.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11:00 am, where family and friends can come together to honor her memory and share stories of a life well-lived.
