NANCY J. LASATER 12/8/1928 - 2/10/2012 Nancy passed away quietly surrounded by family who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Ruben Schirmer and her brother Bob. Nancy is survived by her husband, R.C.; children Donald, Jeffery, and Mary, and four grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob, Kelli, and Stephanie, as well as two nephews in Oregon and a niece in Washington. She loved fishing in the Eastern Sierras and was usually the first to catch a fish as well as the biggest fish. She and R.C. enjoyed their many car trips across the U.S. and Canada. She was a devoted grandma and enjoyed attending various sporting activities as well as many dance recitals. She was an avid gardener and loved being outside with the flowers. The family wishes to thank Chapman Convalescent Hospital for their loving care of Nancy. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, February 25th at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, 4845 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA., with reception immediately following in the adjacent Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverside YMCA Campership fund, 4020 Jefferson Ave., Riverside, CA 92504.
