Norma Maxine Hughes

Norma M. Hughes, 90 of Riverside California, formerly of Davenport Iowa passed away at her home peacefully with family and friends at her side January 10, 2014. Norma was Born November 7, 1923, in Long Beach, California. She married Ralph Hughes in 1958 in Davenport Iowa. She retired from Oscar Meyer after 33 years. She was a great mother and Grandmother, loved to cook (and was very good at it!) Loved shopping and getting together with family and friends. Loved the old Country music and loved watching the Rodeos.

Everyone loved her.

Survivors include daughters Pamela (Jerry) Dodd, Riverside California, and Patricia Desmond, Carthage Tennessee; son-in-law Tom York, Davenport Iowa; sisters Darlene (Tom) Nolan, Rosemary (Loren) Burken, Davenport, Iowa;

Brothers-in-law Robert (Donna) Hughes and David Hughes, Davenport, Iowa; Paul (Madelyn) Hughes, Millington,

Tennessee; ten grandchildren; many great grandchildren,

nieces and nephews; and the Brady families from Edgewood,Iowa. And her beloved Cat, Sheba.

She will be Missed By All.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband

Ralph; daughters Bernice York and Pamela Jean;

brothers Robert and Donald Jenkins; brothers-in-law

William and Dennis Hughes.

Following Cremation, graveside services will be held at

Riverside National Cemetery on Jan. 29, 2014 12:30pm
