Ricardo Gutierrez

Ricardo Gutierrez was born to Teresa Gutierrez Espinoza on March 13th1940 in Mexico City “D.F”. Tenacious and independent since birth he earned his degree from El Instituto Politecnico Nacional in 1964 In civil engineering. He married, Immigrated and moved to Los Angeles California in 1967 and soon welcomed daughter Andrea Gutierrez in 1968. He worked hard took night school and soon moved family to Riverside in 1970. He always had two or more jobs however his proud primary position was as an assessor and later assessor supervisor for the county of riverside. He welcomed daughter Vanessa Gutierrez in 1983. He re-married on April 24, 1993 in Santa Fe Springs to Francis Gutierrez. They enjoyed tour guided traveling, quick home BBQ’s and relaxing with their yorikis Lacey, Sabrina and Princess. Hard working Ricardo ended up retiring twice from the county of riverside totaling over 45 years in his field of engineering. After his baptism in 2000 his faith and relationship with God took priority. He enjoyed volunteering as an usher and accountant for his church for over ten years. He welcomed his grandchildren Adam DeRosa in 1996, Sophia Hinojosa in 2014 and Amelia Hinojosa in 2017. Ricardo was a man who valued simplicity; morning coffee with a good book, a yummy burger, a James Bond or Rocky movie, a gym trip with a good nap to follow. Our Lord called him home on October 16, 2019.

A visitation for Ricardo will be held Monday, November 4, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 4, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504. A graveside service will occur Monday, November 4, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave., Riverside, CA 92506.
