Obituary

Robert James May, loving husband of Janice Tyler May, was born July 25, 1939, in Dover, New Jersey, the only son of Beatrice Howarth and Harold Harrison May. He died July 28, 2012, in Riverside, California, after a valiant fight with cancer. He graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where he participated in varsity sports including golf, soccer and baseball. He then moved on to a fulfilling career in plant management with Avon Products, Georgio, and Proctor and Gamble. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, golf, tennis, fly fishing, hiking, camping, bird watching and horseback riding. He is survived by his wife Janice; two step-daughters Juli Graham and Jodi Johnson; Sons-in-law David Graham and Dr. Scott Johnson; grandchildren Alexa and Easlyn Johnson and Justin and Jared Graham; and mother-n-law Audrey Fletcher Phinney. A viewing will be held at Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside, Wednesday, August 1, 2012, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be held at Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Mortuary, Thursday, August 2, 2012, at 10:00am. A special thank you goes to the Loma Linda University cancer center for their wonderful care.
