Nino was a resident of Riverside, CA. He attended Jefferson Elementary, Sierra Middle School, Ramona High School and Riverside Community College. He also took a class at Rubidoux High School (Auto Body regional occupational program class) while attending Ramona High School.
That is where his talent as a master auto body technician would begin to unfold.
He was taken so sudden and soon, that we feel like there were so many things left unsaid or undone but our good lord allowed Nino to accomplish so much in the short time that he lent us his angel.
He touched so many lives with his friendship, his kind words, his warm embrace and with the one million things he could say to you with his eyes. Nino would befriend anyone from anywhere from any walk of life. He was truly a friend to the friendless and a helping hand
to the helpless. His love for life and making a difference in the world was seen through his actions. He was a simple and humble man, whatever he had he would share with anyone. He loved animals he could not drive past an animal that had been hit without moving it from the road. He and his wife
took in animals that were abandoned or lost. He was an amazing husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend.
Nino was a fanatic of cars. He loved to work on them. He loved to take something that was worn and broken and make it brand new. He worked hard to provide for his family. In 2010 he opened a boat repair shop. Corona Custom Marine in Corona, Ca. while he worked on cars from home. In 2012 His dreams came true. He was allowed the opportunity to be on his favorite t.v show "Overhaulin". As he would say he was "living the dream" he met and worked side by side with the best like him. This was defintley the highlight of his career as an auto body technician. He was able to work his dream job. He worked long hours, sometimes projects lasting days at a time. Never once did he complain. He was living his dream and couldn't get enough. Even working all those long hours he still made time for his family. His wife "lived the dream" along side him. He also loved to cook. Nino was infamous for his steaks and cooking everything in butter and beer. (his secret ingredients) Nino loved the Beatles, Howard Stern, Sublime, classic rock, talk radio, his wife, his family, his pets and his life.
So much to say of a great man that cannot be said or written. Nino is a feeling that cant be explained. Nino just made you feel special and that you mattered. He was an amazing soul that we are all blessed to have come across in our journey called life. Nino's most recent projects included a couple cars that he was working on but the one he held near and dear to his heart was restoring an old radio flyer wagon for his great nephew baby Charlie.
Nino is survived by his wife Karly Chavez, sister Dolores Mladosich, brother Jose Chavez, brother Michael Chavez and his sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews
Preceding him to the gates of heaven were his mother Josie Mora Chavez, father Hector Santiago Chavez, brother Genaro Mora Chavez and sister Rosemary Chavez.
