Steven Lee Watson was born to Doug and Lois (Lach) Watson on February 19, 1944 in Compton, CA. He was the oldest of seven children. He met his wife Cynthia (Bangle) Watson at Compton first ward and they were married on July 27, 1968.
Steven served his mission in Australia from 1963 to 1965 and served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968.
Steven and Cindy started their family a few years later when they adopted Matthew Lee Watson and then Jessica Lea Watson. He had a huge heart and this unit of four made a wonderful family. He loved his family and his children very much and he made them the center of his life.
Steven was a very quiet man, but a man of integrity, honor and courage. He loved his family, his work and his church. Everyone that met him could see what a wonderful man he was. He always put others first and is described by all that knew him as a sweet man.
Steven had a passion for math, planes and air conditioners. If ever you wanted him to talk about something ask him about these. Although he fell into his career after filling up the air conditioning trucks at the gas station he worked at, it was a career he loved. Loved so much that he worked in this industry for nearly fifty years.
Although a quiet man he made an impact on all he encountered. He taught life lessons to his children through his actions and the way he lived his life. We are all better people for having known him.
Steven is preceded in death by his father Douglas Watson and his mother Lois Watson.
Steven is survived by his wife Cindy, son Matt and his wife Jennifer, daughter Jessica and her husband Jason, granddaughters Paige, Samantha and Max, grandson Matt, brothers Gary and Dale, sisters Lynette, Sharleen, Joanne, and Valerie.
