

Thomas Edward Bennett, 61 , from Corona, California passed away November 27, 2021 in Riverside. Tom was born August 22, 1960 in Torrance. He is survived by his son Dillon Thomas Bennett of Corona; mother, Nancy Bennett of Fullerton; brother Bill Bennett of Fullerton; Sister, Barbara Blumenthal (Mike) of Princeton, New Jersey; Nephew Michael Blumenthal (Estee) and Great Nephew Noah James Blumenthal of Washington D.C.
Tom was preceded in death by his brother James Dennis Bennett of Anaheim in 2010 and his father Ed Bennett of Yorba Linda in March of 2021.
Tom attended Morse Elementary School, Kraemer Junior High School and graduated from Valencia High School in Placentia in 1978. He participated in sports, playing baseball, football and basketball at Valencia, and baseball in Placentia Little League and participated in the annual VHS Alumni Softball Tournament for many years.
Tom was on the Valencia class of 78 reunion committee through the years working tirelessly to make the reunions a success. He was a lover of Rock & Roll and all genres of music and had an extensive knowledge of music.
Tom worked at AT&T for over 25 years. He loved going to Angel Baseball games and was a Ducks Hockey season ticket holder, attending games regularly. He loved playing golf and was a member of the Orco Telco golf league for many years.
Over his lifetime he developed many friendships, and he cherished each and every one. Once you were a friend of Tom’s he never let your friendship go.
Tom has also left behind a large extended family consisting of aunts, uncles and cousins with whom he maintained a connection his entire life.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life honoring Tom and will notify friends and family about the details. Donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Tom’s name at: www2.jdrf.org/goto/tb or any charity of the donor’s choice.
