Tony J. Alvarran

TONY JESS ALVARRAN JANUARY 17, 1937 TO NOVEMBER 5, 2013 Tony Jess Alvarran passed away on November 5, 2013. He is survived by Hope Alvarran, his wife of 53 years; his children Gloria Hullinger (Marc), Linda Robles (John), Tony (Michelle), Debbie, Shirley and Eddie (Deanna) Alvarran, all of Riverside; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Tony Lopez, Tomasa Martinez, Blas Alvarran, Mary Hernandez, Lillian Trujillo, Helen Vindiola and Rita Torre, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Medejildo and Estolia Lopez and Catalina and Mariano Alvarran. Tony had lived in Riverside since the age of five. He graduated from Poly High School where he met his high school sweetheart and future wife. Tony retired from Fort Howard Corp. An avid sports fan, Tony loved the Dodgers, Lakers and Rams, coached softball for RGSA and rarely missed his children's or grandchildren's ball games. Traveling to Las Vegas and taking cruises were highlights of his retirement. The family would like to thank the Care Alternative Hospice staff for the care and support of Tony during his illness. Services will be held Wednesday, November 13 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 3774 Jackson Street, Riverside, with burial at Olivewood Memorial Park in Riverside.
