She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Stephen Chipkar, with whom she shared an incredible bond. She loved him deeply, and together they built a life full of laughter, devotion, and simple joy in being with one another. She also dearly loved her “girls”—Angela Eaton (Bradley), Kelly Durkee-Gronzo (Patrick), Jeannine Bernstein (Michael), and Stephanie Pearson. She is further survived by 10 cherished grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Maebeth; and her five brothers.
A wonderful wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, and friend, she dedicated her life to caring for others. For 26 years, she ran an in-home daycare, where she lovingly cared for and guided many children. She had a heart for nurturing, always putting family and others first.
She was known for her quick wit, warm laugh, and love of a good gab session. An accomplished seamstress, she poured her talent and creativity into everything she made. If you were fortunate enough to receive anything handmade by her—especially a quilt or one of her Christmas ornaments—you knew it was a treasure to be cherished for years to come.
She delighted in quilting, sewing, cooking, and reading, but most of all, she cherished time spent with family and friends—especially when it included a glass of wine or a decadent dessert. A true keeper of family traditions, she leaves us with a legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness that we will honor by carrying forward every cherished custom.
Her warmth, humor, and generosity touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
