

Verna Lee graduated from Natrona County High School in 1950 and married Francis Eugene Green January 10, 1951 in Thermopolis, WY. She was a supervisor for Riverside County for 20 years, where she worked for the Department of Public Social Services and Riverside General Hospital until she retired.
She traveled throughout her life both here in the United States and abroad. She drove many times from California to Colorado, Wyoming or Montana, often alone. One of her vacations included driving to New Orleans where she got lost and was fortunate to find some nice people who helped get to where she wanted to be. She lived in Guri, Venezuela where her husband worked for Kaiser building a hydro-electric dam on the Orinoco and Caroni Rivers. She lived in Tarapoto, Peru where her husband worked for Morrison-Knudsen building bridges and roads to join the interior of Peru with the PanAmerican highway. She left Peru in 1968 when the government experienced a coup and nationalized all the businesses and companies there. She traveled to Israel in 2005 with her church group from Harvest and in 2008 she traveled to Costa Rica. She loved going to new places and meeting new people.
Verna Lee is survived by four children: Robert Lee Green (Leigh)-Aurora, CO, Rhanda Lynne Ridlon (David) - Riverside, CA, Kenneth Eugene Green (Rochelle) - Central Point, OR, and Kevin Edwin Green (Ana) - Costa Rica, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; her brothers Von L Coles (Fern) - Texas, Van L. Coles (Georgetta) - Wyoming and sister Vickie L. Bordeaux (Joseph)- Wyoming.
Services will be October 10, 2014 @ 10:00AM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA. Her cremains will be placed next to her mother and father at Highland Cemetery in Casper, Wyoming. Services in Casper and burial will be scheduled in the future.
