Willie J. Jewett Sr.

WILLIE J. JEWETT, SR. Age 63, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2012. He was born on October 14, 1948 to his late parents, Derry Lee and Willie Mae Jewett in Fairfield, Alabama. Willie worked for Lockheed Martin in the shipping and receiving department for 27 years. Willie is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Jewett and his sister, Helen Jewett. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend with a warm, caring, honest and generous spirit. He will especially be remembered for his smile, his incredible sense of humor, his love and appreciation for life, and his many words of wisdom. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Mary Jewett; his children, James Edward Jewett (Olita), Vikki Jewett Ruff (Miguel), Azjah Wasmin Porter, Stella Nicole Jewett, and Willie James Jewett Jr.; his grandchildren, Breshay R. Jewett, Javier E. Jewett, Alyssa J. Jewett, Vivika J. Ruff, Shamar T. Ruff and Daruis D. Ruff; his siblings, Derry L. Jewett, Mildred Hall (William), Thelma Frankiln (Marvin) and Dorothy Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Yahweh House of Worship, 1960 Chicago Ave., Ste. E1, Riverside, CA 92507. There will be a viewing from 10 am to 11 am, followed by a celebration of life at 11 am. The burial will take place at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave., Riverside, California 92503.
