Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Last week, Alvalencia Hurley Schweitzer rejoined our Creator, Heavenly Father and gained her wings Friday, October 29, 2021.
Alvalencia Hurley Schweitzer, 47, of Herriman was born on July 24, 1974 in Cortez, CO to Ella Mae Dawes (Lansing) of Aneth, UT and Alfred Lane Hurley of Tuba City, AZ. She was a proud Native American woman of the Navajo Nation, her clans born Kinyaa'nii & born for To dich'ii'nii. We all knew her by Mauzy or Ali. She married Erik Schweizter for 20 Years and had three children Conner (18), MacKenzie (15), and Hunter (11). She was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister to her family.
Ali attended Skyline High School in Holladay, UT. Then moved onto Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. She was in the discovery program at BYU. Also in the Native American placement program for the LDS Church.
Ali was a very elite person, a very successful and intellectual business owner of multiple companies nationwide. She built her Empire professionally and strived for success in all facets of business. Her favorite saying was "Do your job!" She always did her job and exceeded all expectations. She is a booster club member for Mountain Ridge High School. She donated to multiple charitable organizations. She supported many local and indigenous businesses.
Ali loved life and would try anything once. She loved music festivals especially her J Boog, Common Kings, UB40, Tom Petty, Garth Brooks, and Native American music. Shopping was her sport of choice next to football. She absolutely loved the New England Patriots even when Tom Brady left. She was an avid world traveler and loved Hawaii the most. She was always there for you no matter the day or time. She loved her family and friends so much and did it so fiercely. She was the best hiking partner ever but hated camping. We all can say glamping was more her style in fact to Ali glamping was "No room service available". Ali was a major foodie; she always knew the best restaurants and things to order. She pushed her children to be the best and to reach for the stars. As far as Ali was concerned if you were a good friend of her children that meant that she had another child. She is considered a mother and dear friend to all of her children's friend's. She rightfully earned the respect to be the number one football mom and cheer mom. She was wicked loud and everyone could hear it a mile away. She made sure everyone on the team had their support gear. She was not the typical mom. She would ask her son Conner what he thought about the new yeezys or drive while listening to the new Drake album. She was the ultimate big sister and daughter. She loved her family so much that it was immeasurable and unconditional. She was a kind, loving, and caring person to all who knew her far and wide. She had many special characteristics like her generous heart, her kindness, her strong will, her great sense of humor, and was deeply rooted in her community. Ali was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. She wanted to be the best mom, team mom, and Sunday school teacher.
