Luis Garcia Bernal

Luis G. Bernal, age 81, passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones on January 11, 2023. He was born March 12, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to Epifanio Bernal and Elena Garcia. He attended school in San Antonio, Texas. He later married Sulema Nesmith Bernal in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Luis was an amazing father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved fishing, mechanics, and anything outdoors. He was a man of many traits. He sure loved his black coffee with his SWEETS. His most cherished moments was being with his family that he lived with. Playing with great grandchildren who he adored dearly, he would share treats with them daily, sitting outside in the sun with a nice cold soda. He had many adventures throughout the years.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at noon at the Copper Hills Stake Center, located at 6710 West 4145 South, West Valley City, Utah 84128. A visitation will be held the evening prior, Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 6-8pm at the same address. Interment will follow the funeral service at Valley View Memorial Park, located at 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120.
