Ray Alvey Muhlestein, son Ephraim and Lillie (Alvey) Muhlestein, was born in Price, Utah on August 24, 1929. Our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away surrounded by family on February 11, 2017 at the age of 87.
Joyce Ann White, his eternal companion of 62 years, was the love of his life. They were married on February 29, 1955 in Murray, Utah, sealed for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake temple. Ray was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Dad was a hard working family man who taught by example. His strong hands not only built homes but most importantly built lives. He loved his family more than anything and spent his entire life sacrificing for them. We always won with Dad on our side. We will miss his sense of humor, his quiet strength, and his unconditional love and support.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; his children Jeff (Jill), Michael, Mark (Joan), M. Chad (Nan), Amie Jo, Tim (Lisa), Kurt (Eileen), Kristopher, and Sariah (Bill) Henry. He was blessed with 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two siblings, Arnold Muhlestein and Lillie Petersen.
The family would like to thank Millcreek Hospice and the Holladay Healthcare Center for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18th at 11am at the Highland Ward, 932 W. Green Oaks Drive, Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held an hour prior to services and on Friday evening from 6-8pm at the same location. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley.
