Richard White Aposhian Sr. was born in Salt Lake City on July 12, 1934 to George Z. Aposhian Sr. and Catharine White Aposhian. Richard passed away peacefully ("of nothing serious") at his home in Kaysville, Utah on August 7, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. Richard was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Richard was a mechanic by trade. He owned and operated Aposhian Garage from 1960-1984. Richard continued to work full-time at the shop until four years ago, at which time he FINALLY retired. Richard served in the Army from 1955-1958. Richard's favorite hobby was playing in the hillbilly band, "The Cornshuckers". He loved performing with his brother Lawrence and dear friends Arnie Allred and Little George Allen. They performed at events, weddings and county fairs all over Utah and the surrounding states.
When Richard wasn't working hard, he was playing hard. He spent many memorable summers with his family at the beach house in Capistrano. Most recently he loved traveling with Jeannette and his kids to Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef and Zions Canyons. Richard was a loving, caring, fun father and grandfather. Richard's soft place to fall was the love of his life, Jeannette. Their life together was a beautiful story of true, unconditional love.
His family is deeply grateful for the care and kindness shown by Bonnie, C.O., Allie, Amanda, and Laurie with Rocky Mountain Hospice. Richard is survived by his beloved wife Jeannette. He is also survived by his children Rick (Suzette) Aposhian, Kris (Roger) Anderson, Doug (Cynthia) Aposhian, Eileen Aposhian, Amber (Shane) Griffin and Candace (Derek) Hartlauer and siblings, Lois Bigler and Lawrence Aposhian.
