Sue Christensen Pierce

Sue Christensen Pierce, 60 of Duchesne: Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother died Sunday evening April 1, 2012 surrounded by her family. Sue was diagnosed in August of 2010 with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). She fought a heroic battle all the while keeping a positive outlook on the situation. Sue was born March 4, 1952 to Arthur Neldon and Grace Leona Bridges Christensen. Sue later met and married the love of her life Charles Pierce on July 31, 1971 in Reno, NV. She was blessed with two lovely daughters who will miss her terribly!

Sue loved to spend time with her family! She also enjoyed riding her horse and spending time in the outdoors. Sue spent many hours working on the home she and her husband owned in Duchesne. She was very proud of all the improvements they were making on it and loved to show off her progress to all who came to visit. Sue very much enjoyed spending time with her daughters and Sister, going to lunch, the movies or just hanging out. She was always available to lend a helping hand and was always charitable with her time. She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Sue is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles Pierce of Duchesne, UT.

Daughters: Stephanie Jeneal Stidman of Heber City, UT, Rose Marie Pierce and her husband TJ. of Salt Lake City, UT. She has 6 wonderful grandchildren!

Siblings: Irene Wilcock, Jeneal Wingelaar, Tim Christensen, Sandy Christensen.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Grace Christensen, and siblings Chris, Christine, and Arthur Dell Christensen.

Funeral services will be held Friday April 6, 2012 @ 12 PM. Veterans Memorial Cemetery 17111 S Camp Williams Road Riverton, UT 84065

The family will receive friends Thursday April 5th from 6 pm to 8 pm @ 3408 Celeste Way Salt Lake City, UT.

Burial arrangements under the direction of Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley.
