Mildred Beatrice Philpott

Mildred moved to Roanoke in her early 20s, making herself at home in the area. After a while, her parents and 8 siblings also moved to the area and the family continued to grow.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Philpott Sr.; two sisters, Frances Reynolds and Wilma Ortiz; and three brothers, Albert, Harold and Gary Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Harold Philpott Jr., residing in Roanoke; daughter, Linda Dickerson & husband David; granddaughter, Jennifer Scott & husband Ramont; grandson, Christopher Dickerson; great grandson, Julian Samonte, all residing in Maryland; her sister, Thelma Hanvey and husband Don; brothers, Floyd Johnson and Edward Johnson, all residing in Roanoke, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25th, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Roanoke, VA from 4pm to 7pm.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26th at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Roanoke, VA at 11am.
