

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 18, at First Baptist Church, Rock Island.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery on Arsenal Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island, is assisting the family.
Jerry was born on August 20, 1928 to Joe and Ama (Gann) Williams, in Chickasha, OK. He retired from IH Farmall and prior to that he operated several gas stations in Silvis and Moline. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rock Island, where he was a council member for many years.
Jerry served with the U.S. Army, 44th Infantry, in Korea. Throughout his life, Jerry enjoyed drag racing, bowling, his pets, helping at his church, and being with family.
He is survived by his brother, Joe, Jr. (Joan) Williams, Rock Island; sister, Jacqueline(Lawrence) Kistner, Moline; nephews Don (Connie) Kistner, Rock Island, and Gary Williams, East Moline, and many other special nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby & Alice Williams.
