Carol Emanuel Burkard

Carol Emanuel Burkard was born on June 16, 1955, in Lynn, Massachusetts, and moved to Florida at the age of five. She passed away peacefully in Florida at the age of 69 on January 12, 2025. Carol is survived by her oldest daughter, Jill Marie Aston, son-in-law, Jonathan Aston, and her three granddaughters: Mia, Lexi, and Stella; and her youngest daughter, Cristine Marie Cook, and son-in-law, Jason Cook.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Patrick Burkard (2005); her father, A. Charles Emanuel ("Charlie") (1986), and her stepfather, Biagio D. Corno ("Ben") (2009). She is survived by her mother, Marie Theresa Divine Corno, her brother, Gary Emanuel, her brother, Philip Emanuel (LuAnne), and her sister, Cynthia Hanson (Ron) as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Carol had a deep faith and enjoyed volunteering with Seniors Helping Seniors, gardening, baking, and reading the Bible. She was known for her amazing cooking skills. Although she was unable to participate in many of her favorite activities in recent years due to her health, Carol remained a devoted believer in Christ. Her church family at both Rockledge Church of Christ and Oceanside Church of Christ provided her with great comfort and were truly her home.

Services will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S US Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, January 25, 2025, followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. A short graveside prayer will take place at 2:30 p.m.
