Cole Gilbert Rogers

Cole Gilbert Rogers, 93, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Viera Hospital in Viera, FL. Born on September 23, 1927, in Baldwin, NY. During his life, he proudly served in the Marine Corps, and he also worked as an aerospace technician. He came to Brevard county in 1992 from Long Island, NY and found a welcoming family in the Crossroads United Church of Christ of Melbourne where he became a member.

He was a loving husband of Grace Rogers, for 49 years. Grace preceded him in death in 1997. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Susan McAdam of West Palm Beach, FL; son, Steven Rogers (Peggy Schjeldahl) of Pittsfield, MA and daughter, Sally Contess and husband Charles; grandchildren, Laura Buckley, James McAdam, Kristin Rogers, Steven Rogers (Meaghan), Alexandra Lancaster, Laura Contess, and two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Joseph Buckley.

A good friend to many, Cole will be deeply remembered by his family and friends. A private service will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, family prefers donations to be made to any of the following organizations on his behalf: St. Jude’s Research Hospital, BoysTown, or Crossroads United Church of Christ of Melbourne.
