David A. Illig

David was born April 12, 1964 in Cresson, Pennsylvania to Richard and Elizabeth Illig. In 1985 David met the love of his life, Benjamin Benn. They spent 37 years together.

David was a fun loving, full of life guy who always had a quick wit. He always sought every opportunity to live life to the fullest. He loved to entertain with parties, dancing, and food. Anyone who met David fell in love with him instantly. Traveling was something David and Ben did often, whether it was road trips to their house in North Carolina with their dog, Gnue, or amazing cruises with friends. They were always the life of the party.

For many years David worked in marketing but it wasn’t until recently he tried his hand in real estate and crafting. He excelled in anything he tried and touched many lives.

David is survived by his husband: Benjamin; his brother: Richard Illig, Jr. of Florida; and his sister: Deborah (Timothy) Illig Harris of Cresson, Pennsylvania. Along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and his bestie and caregiver: Denise.

To honor David’s wishes there will be no funeral service or viewing. A celebration of the life of David will happen at a later date.
