From an early age, Diana embodied strength, compassion, and grace. She rowed with the Philadelphia Girls’ Club and was the first woman coxswain on the Schuylkill River, finding joy and purpose on the water—a place that would remain her sanctuary throughout life. She began her professional journey at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center, where she worked and conducted research laying the foundation for a career centered on helping others.
With unwavering dedication, she spent the majority of her professional life as a hospital risk manager, advocating tirelessly to ensure patients received safe, high-quality care. Her work touched countless lives and reflected her deep belief in dignity, fairness, and compassion in healthcare.
Outside of her career, Diana was most at peace near the water. Whether sailing with her beloved husband, traveling the world, or enjoying quiet days by the shore with their loyal Schipperke dogs – Mozart, Sailor and Puff, she found endless beauty and joy in life’s simple, windswept moments.
She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Rosenkaimer, Jr.; her cherished daughter, Johanna R. Barbin; her supportive son-in-law, Jason R. Barbin; and her two adored grandsons, Jason Robert Barbin, Jr. and Justin Raymond Barbin, who brought light and laughter to her life.
Diana will be remembered for her caring heart, sharp mind, and the quiet strength with which she lived. Her legacy continues in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the peace she found near the water.
A private memorial will be held by the family.
Mother, I miss you..
My dear mother, you left us too soon, leaving behind a heartache that makes us swoon. Your absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, and a pain that will never be stilled.
I remember the way you used to smile, it could light up the darkest of miles. I remember the way you used to care, it was something that we could always share.
You were always there for me, no matter what, your love and kindness, I will never forget. You taught me how to be strong and brave, and how to face the challenges that life gave.
I miss you more than words can say, and I think of you every single day. But I know you're watching from above, and sending us all your eternal love.
So I'll try to live my life as you would want, and hold onto the memories that we have wrought. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of those whose lives you touched and whose love you chose.
Rest in peace, my dear mother, till we meet again, in a place where there is no pain and no end. You'll always be a part of me, that I know, and your love will forever continue to grow.
