Erika Vickery

Erika (Mom) was the heart of our home and family. She is survived by her three children, Ilona (Spouse Lance), Angie (Spouse Bob), and Richard (Skip)(Spouse Sherrie), she raised them in a happy and loving home to be independent and thoughtful adults. Erika was married for 52 years to her soulmate, Thurston Hubert Vickery, who preceded her in death. A grandmother to Justin, Jayson, Ryan, Ashley, Lauren, and Taylor, she was a big part of their lives and was very close to each of them. Also, a great-grandmother to Jayda, Jaxon, Jayla, Jayde, Noah, Hugh, and Lucas. She was kindhearted and loved her family and friends, especially family cookouts and gatherings. Erika touched each and every one of us helping with Babysitting all 6 grandkids and most of the great grandkids. Their fond memories of her German music and crazy antics keep a smile on their faces. We are saddened by her passing but rejoice we got to call her Mom, Grandma, and Oma.

Erika loved her shopping adventures with her family, especially Ilona. She never met a stranger, everywhere she went she made a friend even while battling her own illness. Her roommates and caregivers in the hospital and rehabilitation facilities instantly became life friends. She will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 10, 2024 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial in Rockledge at 11:00 am.
