She was born in in the mountains of Chincheros, Apurimac, Peru and immigrated to the United States at the age of 21. She started her career in northern New Jersey and soon met her future husband Ed. After their marriage, they were blessed with their only child, Erik. Together they established a successful commercial cleaning and maintenance business in New Jersey and Melbourne, Florida, Kleenway Maintenance Services. Fraida had many passions in life including gardening, music, salsa dancing, fashion, painting and helping her family and many others. Fraida will always be remembered by her family and friends for her great passion for life.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ed Fommelt, stepchildren: Ed Frommelt, Jr (Mayra) of Lancaster, South Carolina and Jodi Hanley (John) of Woodland Park, New Jersey; grandchildren: Isabella Frommelt, John, Shane, Ian, and Casey Hanley; Siblings: Mercedes, Elena, Maria, Esther, Cirila, Emma Dora, Benito Federico, and Ricardo Alejandro; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her Mother: Teofila Ore-Quispe of Paterson New Jersey, Father: Demetrio Tello of Lima, Peru, and Son: Erik, 2005.
There will be a visitation at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm followed by the service at 3:00pm.
Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Fraida Frommelt in lieu of flowers.
