

In loving memory of Frank Edsel Gibson who sadly passed away on September 28,2014 in Rockledge,Fl. Frank was born in Paterson, NJ on February 12, 1939 and was the only child of Frank and Dorothy Gibson (deceased).
Frank graduated from Central High School in Paterson, NJ class of 1956 where he made many friendships which he maintained throughout his life. He graduated William Paterson University with a B.A. degree and so began his teaching career. Frank then earned his M.B.A. from Georgian Court University, in Lakewood, NJ. Frank taught at Sylvia Rosenauer Elementary School in Jackson Township, NJ for most of his teaching career. Teacher of the Year was one of his many awards. His favorite grades were 4th and 5th. He was loved by his students for his wit, humor and gift for poetry which he not only taught to his students but held workshops for his colleagues, as well. His legendary DooWop Lip Sync show highlighting the 1950's was performed by students and faculty each year and was widely anticipated and enjoyed by all for many years.
Frank also enjoyed playing softball in several leagues including the VFW, his favorite. He was also an accomplished bowler and received a prestigious ring for bowling a perfect 300 game. Frank retired from teaching in 2001 and moved to Avon by the Sea in Florida. Although retired, he would occasionally substitute in one of the Brevard County schools. In retirement, Frank continued bowling, fishing and handicapping the horse races which he really enjoyed, as well as watching and collecting old movies, especially John Waynes'. Known for his love of animals, he was a contributor to several animal organizations, though his favorite was the"SPCA". He had many pets through the years and, sadly "Kady" his beloved Walker Hound will miss him.
Frank leaves behind his beloved wife and companion of 30 years, Carolyn and the children he adored, Laurie, Judi (Dan), Scott (Staci), Glenn (Tracy); and Carolyn's children, Andrew, Duane, Lori and Lisa, as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Frank is resting peacefully at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida.
