He is survived by his wife, Margaret; 8 daughters (one who preceded him to join the Lord); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a Navy veteran, volunteered in many organizations in the area including Habitat for Humanity, Brevard Zoo founder, V Cops, TICO, and numerous others.
A visitation gathering will be held on Thursday, May 8 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 S. US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. An interment service with military honors will take place immediately following the funeral in Florida Memorial Gardens' Chapel of Peace.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in George's name may be made to either a charity of your choice, or to the Brevard Zoo, or William Childs Hospice House. Donations may also be made to the Valiant Air Command.
