

Glenna Mitchell, 85, died Sunday, February 28, 2010. Glenna was born July 3, 1924 in Bristol, Tennessee. Glenna came to Florida with her husband Herman in 1964. She is survived by children, Kenneth Collins, Debby Moore, Tami Wilson and Herman Mitchell Jr.; brother, Perry Bacon Jr.; grandchildren, Regina, Jimmy, Phoebe, Rhonda, Becky, Tanya, Tara, Kayla, Jamie, Megan, Kristina, Timothy and Zachary; and 13 great-grandchildren. Glenna was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandma. All of her life she enjoyed being creative through sewing, baking, crochet, plastic canvas and clogging. She was always making something for someone. She was very proud of her job as a secretary and enjoyed a good life in retirement. She was an awesome Chinese Checkers player, was amazingly lucky at BINGO and liked cane pole fishing. Glenna would devour any dessert put in front of her but the favorite was always Pineapple Upside Down Cake. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and now will be eternally happy reunited with her husband Herman. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 8th at National Cremation and Burial Society, Rockledge (formerly Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home) followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Brevard Memorial Gardens.
