Ismael Hernandez, 86, of Palm Bay, FL passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018. Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, he came to Brevard County in 2004 from South Windsor, CT as a retiree. He worked for the Hartford Board of Education in Connecticut as a teacher, he had been a teacher in Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts in prior years.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen A. Colon of Palm Bay, FL; son, Oscar Hernandez of Palm Bay, FL; daughters, Nytza Rivera, Ocala, FL, Noemi Macumber, Ocala, FL; son in law, Geraldo Rivera, Ocala, FL; brothers, Marcelino Hernandez, Southbridge, MA and Angel Luis Hernandez, Orocovis, Puerto Rico; and sisters, Fermina Henandez, Philadelphia, PA and Romeda Hernandez of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Santos Maria Hernandez of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Oscar, Jr., Elanie, Alex, Geraldo J., Josuah N., Cynthia, Isolina, Maritza, Kaila J. and Josiah W.; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and a Funeral Service on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
