A Life Remembered, A Love Never Forgotten
With profound sadness and hearts full of gratitude, we announce the passing of James Fitzy Adams, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend at the age of 82. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 60 years, Trudy Jane Adams.
He is survived by his loving son, James Adams, II, and his wife, Courtney. His loving grandson, John Adams, and his wife, Patience. Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends also survive him. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Trudy, daughter, Tammy Adams-Harrison, his sister, Renie Adams, and his parents. Born in Waycross, GA, James moved to Melbourne, FL in 1964, after serving in the United States Air Force, where he built a life defined by service and integrity.
His kindness, and his genuine, loving nature touched all who knew him. His journey through life was marked by a steady strength, an easy smile, and an unshakable devotion to his family.
He was a guiding light, inspiring those around him with a gentle spirit and a heart that knew no bounds. He found peace with a fishing line in the water and joy on the green with his friends, living life with a patience and grace that reflected his soul.
His family was his greatest joy. Alongside Trudy, he created a home where warmth and acceptance flourished, nurturing his loved ones and always making space for friends and neighbors alike. Whether sharing stories of his latest catch or stories from the past, he was always present with a listening ear and a heart full of love.
Beyond his family, he retired from the United States Postal Service with over 40 years of service. He gave generously to his community and his church, sharing his time, his talents, and his spirit. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he uplifted and in the memories that will forever be cherished.
We remember him not with sorrow, but with deep appreciation for the love he so freely gave and the lessons he imparted. As we say goodbye, we carry his spirit within us, honoring his life by living with the same kindness, grace, and courage he showed every day.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
